Good Manager

He is a the manager who acheived what the most charismatic and talented managers coudn't achieve. I am talking about Avram Grant. For people who have forgot him, he is the current manager of Portsmouth football club. He took chelsea to the footsteps of champions league
glory.
Lot of people saw him as a puppet who had very less technical football knowledge. I dont hold that opinion and even if thats true, it makes him a better manager that he did such great things with very less knowledge. I think he deserves more. I wish him best with his new assignment. Though the challenges are different and the players are different, I think he has what it takes
to manage it. Portsmouth is in relegation zone and some careful planning will help them escape it. This should not be that tough with oil money flowing in and a good January transfer window.
No offence to Jose, scolari and Hiddink, Avram is a better manager than they are. I didnt mean this in footballing sense :)

Random thoughts : part 1

Ok .. I know it a bit weird to name the first bog as Random thoughtsand call it part 1. After all its random and why do u want to organize that. For the past week I had some lone long walks and felt that ourthoughts are pretty random and here u go. I usually think aboutwriting something and miss it in my busy schedule. And even I get thattime I spend sometime in finding a good title for the same.
Untill I find good time to write something special ... I want tofollow these random thoughts. First things first ... I learnt something from within me "If u cannot make a giant leap, make a small step. This has what helped me all this time ...and I can see that I
had made giant strides by taking small steps ... Even I still see a lot of improvement that I can achieve ... My optimism always allows me to carry on without it ... another downside being a optimist. Something I really liked ... I think my friend will allow me to quote
here. I assume he is talking to himself here and read his questions and responses.

Rest tried the new wave. Seems to have a good potential but ... still to really use it. I have to take my small step today ... so just bye for now! I plan to finish my novel during this Christmas holidays ...

Men of Cricket

I usually hate watching cricket. Especially the onedays, neither have the content or the style. For me Test cricket is all about content ... and 20/20 about style. One day lacks both of it. So what motivated me to write this blog.
Yes it is the Wall again who stood time and again. Dravid is simply... I mean he has all the qualities of a perfect gentleman. I dont know, I always feel happy whenever he performs. Its like a hero winning after crossing lots of hurdles. Hope he bats longer. He is the man for Test
cricket ... full of content and substance. So who do I like in 20/20 ... its not hard to find out as Shewag is the most stylish batsman. He is like the masala hero who worships someone (Sachin) , very creative, has no fear and destroys the opposition. He is kinda cool guy for me.
Just for history ... soccer and tennis are far better sport than cricket. Hope cricket lives on.

This is movie is a great thriller. Its about two Washington post journalist trying to write a story, as the unravel the truth about the Watergate scandal.All through out the movie they show references to Former president Richard Nixon. Only after watching this thriller did I found out that its not fiction. This event took during the infamous Watergate scandal that made the
then US president Richard Nixon to resign.

The movie show the reporters actually worked, with their questioning,notes and patience. There is one scene where Gene hackman gets the information from a girl who is reluctant to talk to him. It a masterpiece.

Its the power of press, democracy and freedom. Hope our Indian press learn from them. Its a must watch. The pirates can help u watch it :).
